The term Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDDs) was historically used to describe a group of conditions affecting social interaction, communication, and behavior. What is Rett Syndrome?<\/strong>

Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorder that occurs predominantly in females. Development may initially appear relatively typical, followed by developmental slowing or regression, particularly involving purposeful hand movements, communication, and motor abilities.
